Is your name written in heaven? Then you have great cause to rejoice. The Lamb has a book of life, in which were written the names of all who shall never taste the second death. Not only the names of the apostles are on it, but of everyone who truly love Jesus. God has it written down in a record the names of all His children. A father may some day have to read, with a sigh and with a tear, the list of his family; but Jesus shall never lose one of the members of His family; they shall live forever who are recorded in the book of life. Is it your chief desire to have your name written there? If this is your supreme desire, it must be that you shall be saved. Those who perish, perish because they will not come to Jesus and ask for life.

Jesus said, ‘In very truth I tell you, before Abraham was born, I am.’ ( John 8:58 NEB'70 ) ——————— The expression “I am,” gives the idea of an existence which had no beginning, and will have no end. Such is God's existence. He is the first and the last. He always lived. We, in our finite minds, can never grasp this. However, we can rejoice in the thought that before we were even born God already existed. Among other things, this would mean that no plans could be formed against us, before He had arranged everything concerning us! “Known to God are all His works since the beginning of the world.” ( Acts 15:18 )
