On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, he should come to Me and drink! The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.” (John 7:37-38)

To “come” to Jesus is to believe in Him; to “drink” is to receive the Holy Spirit into the heart.
This is the subject matter of every faithful minister's preaching, “If any one thirst, let him go to Jesus and drink.”
Many still suffer the agony of parching thirst. Their uneasiness is made plain by their anxiety to obtain riches, pleasure, and honors; but they do not know the only fountain that can quench their thirst. — The Holy Spirit can make them more happy than all the enjoyments this world affords.
